We tested canoe exercise machine and by the way arranged a trial 500 m race to Pankin Leonid (world and Europe junior champion). We tried to settle the system for a rowing that mimics rowing on the water (I think we succeeded in that). His result on the still water was 1,50; and on the machine it was 1,48 which is a little faster even at the lower pace. But keep in mind that the machine does not have any setbacks: there is no need in steering the boat or other things. Also, the effort on the oar, while working on the simulator, keeps throughout the stroke, which you need to strive for on the water.
